P63 - 92

Since discrimination in hosipal, black people were glad to be getting treatment. And Henrietta felt uncomfortable day by day, she had to tranfer an number of blood by other people. However, the doctors found nothing wrong with her cells and always returned next month to answer Henrietta.

Henrietta was kind woman and didn't doubt her doctor. Rebecca tried to help Henrietta and she met her family, then researched her experiences. Moreover, she created the Henrietta museum. Clover and Sonny examined why black people couldn't treat in hospital. They found Henrietta's cancer to not regular cancer because regular cancer couldn't grow after a person died.

Finally, Henrietta's body was almost entirely taken by tumors; consequently, she died before she told her sister Gladys to take care of her children. When she die, her body sent to Gey lab quickly. Then Gey got those samples after Henrietta death. And Gey asked her husband for permission. Gey said when he agreed to sign autopsy, his children might help someday. Therefore, he sigh the paper.

Impression:

I think Henrietta was courage because she faced her disease and worked out her family. Although her doctors was unfriendly, she got her family help.

Question:

Why does white doctor discriminate black people?
